April 27, 2015

Hello families and friends,

Today we started our day with word work.  Our words of the week for this week are "warm", "wash", "own", and "show" for grade ones, "question", "grow", "many", and "best" for grade twos, and "bud" for both grades.  After that the students started working on some volleyball skills in gym.  Then we had music, and we finished the morning with a couple rounds of Daily 5.

In the afternoon, we started with our mental math.  Then we worked on a math problem.  Ask your child about this.  Then we went outside to observe the trees and the changes that are occurring.  Ask your child about some of the things that we saw.  We finished our day with our last session looking at Charlottetown, P.E.I.  Tomorrow we will begin our look at Iqaluit, Nunavut.

This Wednesday is Fun Lunch.  I had made an error in a previous post; this Wednesday is not class picture day.  This has been moved to May 19th.

Why is it important not to break the branches on trees?

Have a great evening,
Mr. Soulliere

  1. Because it kills the whole tree and it makes the branch black. Logan
