Hello families and friends,
Today we started with two rounds of Daily 5. Then we continued our activities with the Omni Kin balls in gym. Ask your child about this. After that we continued working on our animal adaptations in our envelope books with our friends in room 51.
This afternoon we continued our look at verbs that we had started yesterday. We will be making a collection of different ways of saying common verbs to help us with making our writing more interesting. Then the students had some free writing time and author's chair. We finished our day by starting our look at alien math. Ask your child about this.
Field trip forms went home today for our field trip next Thursday, March 19th. Thank you to those of you who have already emailed me that you will be available to volunteer, forms for volunteers will be going out before the end of the week. The itinerary for the day will be the same as it was when the forms went home last time. Please have the permission forms signed and returned to me by next Monday, March 16th. If you are available to volunteer and have not emailed me (since our last attempt) please do so at <gasoulliere@cbe.ab.ca>.
